Tandem Surfing – Best Debut!

This year we have put our own resources and money behind Tandem Surfing to help new teams wanting to ‘give it a go’ but not too sure where to start. The 2011 Snowy is about new teams. We will have two trophies, and prizes, for ‘Best Debut’ and ‘Most Improved’. Tandem Surfing is not about winning. It’s about style, grace, function and, above all, Aloha.

As a travelling Tandem Surfer, particularly in Hawaii, it’s amazing just how well respected the skill of a tandem team is respected. So if you’ve wanted to become the complete waterman – make Tandem Surfing an integral part of your grounding.

Ready To Give It A Go?

We are here to help you and we want to see you realise just how much fun Tandem Surfing can be.  The Snowy competition covers,
Saturday, Sunday & Monday. Tandem Surfing will be held on the afternoon (approximately 2pm) on Sunday & Monday, just before the men’s and women’s finals. Saturday is your opportunity to listen, learn and practice. We will have the Tandem practice area up and running between 1pm & 2pm on Saturday – plus we’ll have the tent up, so easy to find us.

Need a Partner?
Let us know! We have girls needing boys and boys needing girls. It’s important to get a ‘good fit’ with a team. Not just in size, but in skill level, enthusiasm and outlook. You need patience and a positive outlook.

Participation is at the discretion of the 2011 Snowy Classic. All Teams must be registered, financial and meet the requirements of the 2011 Snowy Classic for participation in the Tandem Surfing event. Our desire is to preserve the spirit of Aloha through participation in Tandem Surfing. As such we ask that you at all times display sportsmanship and humility in your participation at the 2011Snowy.
